The Hunt family has been farming west of Keuka Lake for seven generations. In 1981 they started crafting wine. The Hunts are committed to responsible farming and caring for the land. They have reduced their fossil fuel use by installing award-winning solar and geothermal systems, improving soil health through the use of mulch and large-scale composting, and increasing habitat for bees, birds, and other wildlife all around the vineyards. The Café serves tasty dishes made from ingredients that are seasonal, organically grown and raised, and as local as possible. Hunt Country is also the oldest continuous producer of genuine Ice Wine in the United States.
