Rob's Trail Preserve is a collection of memorial trails nestled among the high ridges and rolling hills that surround Canadice Lake and Hemlock Lake, the last two undeveloped Finger Lakes. These trails honor Rob van der Stricht, an avid outdoorsman and former board chair of the Central & Western Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. The trails run from the shore of Canadice Lake to the shore of Hemlock Lake. Rob's Trail passes through several types of habitats and features mature hardwood forests, meadows, streams, waterfalls and steep slopes. The Canadice Lake section is a 4 mile segment, which connects to the 4.5 mile Hemlock Lake segment. The trails meet at the trailhead located on conservancy land at the corner of 15A and South Old Bald Hill Road, Springwater.
