Join aboard the Sam Patch, a replica packet boat, for cruise through history, featuring the signature canal experience of passing through a century old lock. In 1825, completion of New York State's legendary Erie Canal connected the Hudson River at Albany with Lake Erie at Buffalo, creating the Empire State and opening the interior of the continent to settlement and commerce. A spectacular, heroic feat of engineering, the canal is considered by many to be the eighth wonder of the world. Hop aboard for a tour featuring live narration. Drinks, snacks and a full bar are on board. Enjoy a wine or spirit tasting, live music or charter the Sam Patch and choose your own experience! Corn Hill Navigation, the operator of the Sam Patch,  is a nonprofit organization that connects the community and visitors to Rochester's historic waterways through authentic, guided boat experiences and educational programs.
