Made in the Finger Lakes
- Aurora Shoe (King Ferry): Shop handmade shoes made one at a time with only natural materials. The company is committed to sustainable and ethical production practices and by sourcing materials locally and making their products in-house they reduce their carbon footprint and support the local community. Of course, like almost everything else, you can purchase the shoes online but if you want to meet the artisans that create these unique shoes and try them on to see which style is right for you, visit their factory outlet shop on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- MacKenzie-Childs (Aurora): Known for their whimsical and colorful upscale home decor, MacKenzie-Childs is headquartered in Aurora on an idyllic spot overlooking Cayuga Lake where their designs are imagined and many are created on-site by skilled artisans. The headquarters store features discounted vintage pieces, high quality seconds, and original samples. In addition, there is a year-round Christmas Room. For an in-depth Mackenzie-Childs experience book a Production Studio Tour and glimpse the artisan process behind the collections or a Farmhouse Tour for design inspiration.

Outdoor Mindfulness, Creativity and Self-Care
- Finger Lakes Forest Immersion (Naples): Forest therapy, sometimes called “forest bathing’ is the process of relaxation known in Japan as shinrin yoku, a simple method of being calm and quiet among the trees while observing nature around you and feeling fully present. Register for a private individual forest bathing experience tailored to your desires and needs. You will find the forest is a powerful healer and skillful guides will help you find the clarity to access that power.
- Wellness at the Inns of Aurora (Aurora): Experience the luxury of relaxation and wellness with the Inns of Aurora. Visit the spa or take advantage of one of their many wellness-focused experiences, candlelit yoga, guided meditation, sky sound journey, and more. Registration required.
- Seager Marine (Canandaigua): Rent a boat for your group or enjoy a private charter at Seager Marine. What better way to view the lake than to be on it?
- Gell Center (Naples): Offering a unique opportunity for reflection, solitude, and personal growth amid the sloping meadows and dense woodlands of the Bristol Hills, the Center is an ideal setting for writers and artists to find inspiration for their work in a peaceful and private setting reserved just for you.

Finger Lakes Foodie Experience
- Little Yard Farm (Moravia): A charming, organic, and sustainable homestead nestled in the hills of Moravia featuring “Winn and Evie’s Greenhouse Gatherings” where most of the meal is grown right on their farm and served in what they describe as a “bohemian chic greenhouse setting.” Their five-course meals, limited to 10 people, are wildly popular, so booking in advance is a must.
- FLX Table (Geneva): An intimate and interactive dining experience limited to sixteen people with no boundary between the guests and the kitchen. Every evening, they serve a prix fixe tasting menu that evolves with the seasons, so the chef can source the best ingredients, using local vendors whenever possible. Seating is by online reservation only, starting two months in advance of your desired date.
- Sweet Treat Trail (Cayuga County): May through October are the sweetest months in Cayuga County thanks to the Sweet Treat Trail. Enjoy the luxury of enjoying homemade desserts, locally grown produce, and other unique sweet finds.
