Cideries & Distilleries
Our wine is famous in the Finger Lakes, but our craft beverage scene is catching up quickly! The region's award-winning cideries and distilleries are not to be overlooked. True to its name, Apple Country Spirits is known for its vodka, distilled from apples grown right on the property of the 5th generation, family-owned fruit farm. The Finger Lakes Cider House at Good Life Farm is the hub of the region’s hard cider renaissance, where you can enjoy artisan ciders from a handful of local producers, each dedicated to creating their own complex ciders from farm-based orchards.
If spirits are more your style, check out Black Button Distilling the first grain-to-glass craft distillery to open in Rochester since prohibition. They've been recognized for their gin, bourbon and vodka but its their bourbon cream that has won over many fans. In Skaneateles, Last Shot Distillery offers small-batch spirits and crafted cocktails as well as a tour of the old industrial building they are housed in.
Whether you're into hard cider or spirits, there is no wrong way to sip and savor these spots. Pick a favorite pour or take a trail (such as the ROC/FLX Craft Beverage Trail) to try them all!
