Baltimore Woods Nature Center fosters enduring stewardship of our natural world by offering immersive programs and a place for everyone to cultivate appreciation and personal connections to nature through environmental education, recreation, play, and research. They put nature in your hands. Part of the community since 1966, Baltimore Woods Nature Center is located on 182 acres of land in Marcellus. Visitors to Baltimore Woods come from the surrounding area to hike the trails and participate in onsite nature day camps, public programs, and fundraising events. Baltimore Woods’ award-winning Nature in the City program is in its 17th year, providing place-based hands-on, minds-on science education to all 19 elementary schools in the City of Syracuse. Trails are open to hikers everyday from dawn to dusk. The Preserve offers six miles of hiking trails. Programs include summer and school vacation camps for children, senior citizen programs, and evening/weekend fun for families.
