Through publications, exhibits, and educational programming, CCHS tells the stories of Chemung County. In addition, CCHS shows how the people, places, and events of the region fit into state and national history. Reoccurring themes include Mark Twain, Underground Railroad, Civil War, Sullivan-Clinton Campaign (Revolutionary War), and the Chemung Canal.
