The Genesee Valley Council on the Arts (GVCA) works to enrich the quality of life in the Genesee Valley region for over 50 years by promoting culture and the arts. GVCA supports an array of programs and services for artists including year-round programming in three galleries, maintaining one of the largest collections of artwork from the Workers’ Progress Administration (WPA) in the New Deal Collection, and hosting an array of family-friendly community events. One of the largest collections outside of the Smithsonian of paintings created during the Great Depression.
