DAY ONE

Ready for a day of family fun in Rochester? Let’s kick things off bright and early with a classic diner-style breakfast and some world-famous donuts at Donuts Delite. Trust us, it’s the perfect fuel for what’s ahead!

Next stop: The Strong National Museum of Play. This place is a kid’s paradise! Walk down Sesame Street, conquer the new Skyline Climb rope course, and wander through the magical Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden where hundreds of butterflies flutter freely. Psst, you can even sneak a peek at all the cool exhibits on The Strong’s website to get the little ones excited!

After all that playing, it’s time to refuel. Luckily, The Strong has plenty of family-friendly dining options right on site. And don’t forget to swing by the gift shop for a special souvenir to remember the day.

Afterwards, head over to Altitude Trampoline Park to burn off some extra energy.

If you are a family of thrill-seekers, Seabreeze Amusement Park is calling your name! With over 60 attractions, including the country’s oldest wooden roller coaster, there’s something for everyone. But if you need a breather, Seneca Park Zoo or a star show at the RMSC Planetarium are great alternatives.

Rochester truly has it all! Check out the Rochester City Ballet for upcoming sensory-friendly productions, providing a safe and welcoming space for everyone, including those with autism.

Got a crew of history buffs? Be sure to visit Genesee Country Village, the third largest living history museum in New York State, featuring a charming 19th-century village and tons of hands-on activities for all ages.

As the day winds down, why not challenge the family to a round of mini golf at Parkside Whispering Pines, the oldest miniature golf course in the country. Then, wrap up with a delicious dinner before heading back to your cozy accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

DAY THREE

Kick off day three with a delicious breakfast at Modern Malt. Their Fruity Pebble or Cinnamon Toast Crunch French toast will have the kids smiling from ear to ear!

Once everyone’s fueled up, it’s time to soak in the fresh air at Onondaga Lake Park, known as the “Central Park of Central NY.” With trails, a playground, skatepark, and even a dog park spanning over 8+ miles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Then, a trip to Syracuse isn’t complete without visiting the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, where you can meet the adorable miracle twin baby elephants at the Pachyderm Pavilion. If the weather isn’t cooperating, head to the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) in Downtown Syracuse for an indoor adventure.

After exploring the city, hop in the car and head to Cortland. For a tasty lunch, stop at A&W Restaurant for classic hamburgers, hot dogs, and their famous freshly made Root Beer.

In the afternoon, visit Greek Peak Mountain Resort for some family fun. You know your family best: maybe they’d want to spend the afternoon at the Cascade’s Indoor Waterpark, where everyone can enjoy the slides and classic wave pool. For older kids who prefer a thrill, they may prefer The Adventure Center which has a mountain coaster, zip line and aerial course.

For dinner, you can either dine at the resort or head downtown to the Cortland Diner for a hearty meal.

End the day with a bang at Shipwreck Amusements, where you’ll find glow-in-the-dark mini golf and the Guinness World Record for the longest mini golf hole in the world!

After creating unforgettable memories with your family, retreat to your cozy accommodations in Cortland County for a well-deserved night’s rest.
